This year I hope that the german parlamentary elections will be a landslide victory for the christian democrats and the greens. Armin Laschet has been nominated as chancellor candidate by the yet most powerfull political party in the Germany: the Christian Democratic Union of Germany. In addition, the green party is becoming even more popular and could likely become a junior partner in the next federal government coalition with the CDU. When a coalition becomes possible between the two enounced parties, I hope they will lead Germany to a more ecological future and also councel their european partners to do the same. Nonetheless the pressure on the two to act against ecological dangers must be kept high, because they will have also much pressure by those who oppose the ecological mesures. Finally, this 2021 elections will be important to the those germans living near to the northern and baltic sea and who could be the first victims of climate change. I wish the next german chancellor wisdom and energy to takle the climate crisis and the other issues related to ecology.
