Il professore e il economista

The prime minister and univeritarian law professor Guiseppe Conte led Italy during the most terrible crisis since WWII and did everything to prevent the coronavirus to spread. While Italy had many infected and casualties to murn, Conte was able to save around 20.000 lives more than prime minister Boris Johnson in the UK. In addition he not only admitted to have made mistakes, but said, that the Italians did all the right things, not him.

Ex-premier Matteo Renzi breaked up the government in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, only because of his jealously, that Conte had accomplised more than him and became more popular than Renzi was during his mandate. Afterwards Conte lost his mojarity in january 2021 in the senate, due to Renzi’s random bad mood to go from the government coalition to the opposition. The professor decided to step down as italy’s premier. He was the first chief minister of the italian government since 30 years which the italians feld proud to have. Every other president of government wasn’t long in office or ruined everything. Usually an italian prime minister had for decades the reputation to be a shamefull nuisance for his country.

sergio mattarella (ansa giandotti)
President Sergio Mattarella announced his designation of Mario Draghi as new prime minister.*

Now the 73-year-old economist and former president of the european central bank Mario Draghi could led a government, which according to the italian president of the Republic Sergio Mattarella is constitued by experts and not by persons of political tendencies. A new government might be in the comming hours. Berlusconi and Renzi said they would approve a government with Draghi as new prime minister. Mattarella said to the far-right parties of Matteo Salvini and Giorgia Meloni, that because of the sanitary and economic crisis there is simply no time for new elections, as they asked it.

Fot the future I ask presidente Mattarella to nominated three mounths after the general elections a governamento technico, which could then rule with a mere vote of confidence from the palriament. I ask for it, because the political parties should only give one single opportunity to form a coalition: after the elections. Otherwise no programm can survive at long term and the economy always suffers from the egoism and disputes from these never pathetic political parties. Again; if there is not enough politicians to make a coalition deal in three mounths and not three years, then experts should take the lead and no more BS.

Finally, I hope professore Conte to make its come-back in the year 2023, to form a broader antiracist coalition against Salvini and Meloni. If Italy has a far-right-wing populist government, it could led the country in decadence and division. Salvini corrupted italian politics by his arrogance and racist policy, which led refugees to sink and die in the sea. Even for the italians abroad Italy in the countries of the EU and NATO the far-right-populists will be a headache. It could put into jeopardy italy’s most important alliances and also the EU-backed postcoronavirus recovery plan. This plan enabled Italy to have around 200 billion euros to fix its economy and for infrastructure, ecological tansition, digitalization and innovation, education, research, gender equality and health care.**

Die Regierung teilte am Montag mit, dass Conte um neun Uhr morgens das Kabinett zusammenrufen wolle.
Can Conte keep the the radicals in 2023 at bay as he did like a Cicero during the government crisis in summer 2019 ?*
