Populist politicians are dangerous for democracy. Technocrats may be goal-orientated utilitarists who may do things that are unpopular, but it is better that there are politicians who are guided by science and evidence than idiotic opportunists whithout plans.

After saving the Euro as president of the european central bank, Mario Draghi must now save Italy as president of the council of ministers.
