The two traitors
One day King Kenji VIIth. was presiding a tribunal which should decided upon a criminal case. One of the King’s bureacrats ordered one of the King’s soldiers to kill all persons who displeased him. It was not so easy to finally find the serial killers, but the day after the civil servant and his collaborator were arrested they made it even more complicated for the King. One of them argued that he never killed someone (and technically he was right) and said that his executioner was the real culprit. The soldier defended himself by saying he was only following orders and didn’t deliberated or decided which name should be on a blacklist. After hearing the two defenders the King announced that both arguments were at the same time partially valid, which meant that both criminals deserved a harsh punishment.
