Thesis:
Many statespersons well-known in general culture were un- or even antidemocratic. Besides some cruel tyrants other despots or autocrats like Louis XIV. or Napoléon are often nuanced or even applaused, despite their vicious character and horrible crimes.
Antithesis:
Most known statesperson in History were rulers unworthy to hold their respective powers and titles. It is difficult to find a some kind of a real model in History-books and nonetheless romantic gloryfying of such head of states is deconstructed by serious Historians.
