On Modern Moral Philosophy

§1 On moral decay and hypermoralism

Ecology, human rights, identity politics and individual rights became so important, that they became the source and limitions of moral distictions in some societies. The problem is that hyperindividualism is a perverted threat these four tenets and as the same time an egocentric excuse to have the right to do everything one wants. Family, solidarity, hospitality, respect, loyalty and diligence are crumbling in a society which values excesses of consume and arrogance. And now? The social bonds weakened and communities, even nations, became so divided, that distrust is omnipresent toward comrades and the members of a groups amounted to nothing because of internal vices. In some (post-)modern societies the slogan of practical life became: „Everthing goes … until nothing goes.“ Therefore we must give up failed social experiments imagined by radical movements and ideolgues. I do not demand the return of old structures, but the maintenance of virtues more and more neglegted, even in many (and not only western) countries.

§2 Replacement as formula for morals and happiness

Anxiety, discontent and improvement, being maybe the principle motors of modern developpement, will so take in an important for transforming the world or parts of it during the next decade(es).

(1) Values are changing every generation, not like in older times every century. This has an impact how to deal with estalished norms and leaders. For safeguarding developped social systems or the natural environment great changes are promoted like a „system / regime change“. (2) The economic system should be more egalitarian and less hierarchical as well as (3) the political system. Traditional leadership is not only more and more questioned in modern societies, but also more and more challanged by autonomous millenials or rejecte, so that they leave a work place after only some years or mounths because they cannot bear to confront authority. According to actor Christoph Waltz many younger people are too submissive. i think some are falsely independant and wants to be free but cannot handle liberty efficiently or they fear to take responsabilities. This is one of the explanitions for the so-called quit quitting where (4) a job change is becoming the norm instead of the exeption. (5) Periods of life are also rejection one after the other: studies, work and retirement are hated because of our mindset only to see the negative thing and that we are not used to bear things who are necesary in life like learning, making what we have learned and aging. (6) The rapid rejection through discontent and impatiance are toxic as we can see in some on-off or some short-therm or some constantly changing relationships. (7) Individual change through self-fullfilment seems also to be sometimes life-rejecting because it seems often to be or it is often simply ruining yourself making – often irreparable – damages instead of improvements.

In two generations we could come and see what choices, repectivly the long list of replacments, we maybe did right and which maybe not.

§4 Morality and reality as a human’s construct?

If the world is an illusion and morals only superstitions, then why does it obey to certain natural and moral rules which are the same globally or culturally ? Is it not remarqueble, that identities which are nowadays considered as a social construct tend to take objective or at least intersubjective regulations ? The subjective world-view who wants to be understood has to speak the same language as an other subjective paradigm. Interpersonal understandig and social cohesion can generalise new or particular concepts. (…)
