The Autobiography of Admiral Aly

an yet unfinished novel

النار – nar – fire

I, Aly Azour, the leading Admiral of the osmanian fleet, unleashed a revolution against a dictatorial regime, which opressed its population. I ordered to attack the coastal military bases of the government I was no more proud to serve. After the signal was given, the opposition organised and the masses protested against tyranny and corruption. The opposition was declared illegal and labeled as an enemy group of the people. After more and more chaos, the armed opposition launched a rebellion. In the first times of the civil war, the dictator mostly retreated, but many rebels were radicalised and other corrupted their brothers-in-arms, betrayed them and compromised their values.

ريح – reh – wind

When a new government proclaimed the State of Greather Osmania, which claimed russian territories in the caucasus, Russia’s security council declared war on the radical new regime of Osmania. Some remnants of the old regime had allied before with the president of the Russian Federation. After some years of harsh fights, the radicals were totally decimated and the old corrupt masters were reinstalled. Now these are puppets of Russia, the real victor of this decade-long war. After this horrible war, some allies betrayed the osman people they pledged to help, by refusing to give asylum to osman refugees.

الماء – al-maa – water

After the defeat I was arrested by the russian marine. Now I am writing my autobiography and about the terrific civil war which ravaged my country. In addition, I am dreaming of a society without strong central authority. Decentralised communities should in my opinion replace the government, civil militias the police, donations the taxes and worker’s associations the companies. The workers should work by temporal determined contracts with limited obligations among equals. Finally, every citizen should get unconditionnal basic income. This utopian dream may rest a dream, but it is a better one than the egoistic dreams of many government officials.

حلم – halam – dream

Last night I had a dream, where a female Jinn spoke to me. We talked about money and power. (to becontinued)

CHRONICLES OF THE 21ST CENTURY

Since 2011 I took active interest in enquiring the geopolitics of my times. I read and heard many stuff, but a lot of it I didn’t wrote it down. For remembering the developpements in this world, I decided to write the essence of my century I am observing. The articles of chronicles are still in writing, it will be a work of my lifetime and maybe my heritage for the 22nd century.

  • Prologos

On September 11, 2001 the begining of the 21st century was marked by many kinds of violence like terror and war. During the presidency of George Bush the younger, I was an child who percieved little things on politics. Only after the election of Barack Obama I learned more about geo-politics and especially after the Arab Spring.

  • The Arab Spring

In the arab world, widespread social inequality triggered a series of revolutions in 2011.

Description de cette image, également commentée ci-après
The arab countries Tunesia, Libya, Egypt and Jemen in dark blue had 2011 a revolution which forced the regime to withdraw. In Syria the revolution wasn’t succesfull and a decade of civil war was the consequence.
  • The Aftermath oft he Arab Spring.

Tunesia as the sole beneficiary is the typical outcome of a revolution, because Egypt, Jemen and Syria didn’t profit from this years 2011 and 2012. The three fled into the Arab Winter. Anarchy or Authoritarianism became their heritage from the arab spring. The problems of revolutions are, that they can often change governments, but sometimes these ones are inable to restore order or aren’t better or even worse than the previous government. Maybe revolutions are there to make the future better. The first french revolution and its ideas paved the way for a century of struggles, until a long lasting republic could be established. At least the hopes and ideas of democracy, wellfare state and anti-corruption have a reference which will echo through the decades. Of course, the arab spring became a rather a symbol for violence and faillure, which shall also be taken into account, because revolutions bear high risks: for their undertaking and their result.

  • The wars in Libya and Syria 2011-2021.

After a decade of deastrous wars. Libya and Syria became satellite States of Russia and Turkey. It seems to some observers, even supporters of the governments of these countries, that they want to reestablish some former empires.

Some supporters of the turkish president R. T. Erdogan belive, that he will bring back the ottoman empire. In 2021 Turkey had positioned their troops in 6 or 7 countries in the Orient and Libya.
  • The refugee crisis

The wars and other miseries in Western Asia and Africa led to a massive refugee crisis in the year 2015. The rise of populism in the Western World was the consequence of illiberal populist politicians and sykophants, which spread fear on immigrants and on refugees in particular. When the refugee crisis was tempered, at least in europe, the populist parties still appealed their base with their provocative rhetoric.

  • Inside Iran

During the Trump era, I studied history and philosophy in the Trier University which was full of communists, marxists and bolchevists. Especially during the 200th birthday of the cities best-known son: Karl Marx. During his jubilee-year 2018, I visited Iran. I felt like an inversed Borat, who wanted to visit the oriental country to know its culture and history.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic

The populist parties and politicians lost elections during the pandemic due to their disappointing faillures to handle the sanitary crisis as robust as their speeches. It became for me a proove, that a rational handling government matters, not one with big words and no adequate actions.

  • 2011-2021: resistance against every crisis

The movement of Fridays For Future was founded 2018 and is similar to the protests in 2011, where many social movements emerged due to rejection of the socio-economical system and the nefast impacts of the financial and economical crisis, which wasn’t totally resolved. Even a more than a decade after its beginning and before the eve of the new, greather economical crisis, which was triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the years 2016-2021 I established a lifestyle philosophy, which says 1) that happiness exists through your closest circle, 2) that crisis and calm are like winter and spring; always interchnaging and therefore we have to be prepared for both 3) always thing about the higher good, we humans are imperfect beings, which couldn’t think about that sufficently.

  • The assualt on the Capitol

The day I feasted the epiphania was tarniashed by Trump’s attempt of coup d’Etat. Five people died directly because of the assault. Three more afterwards. More than one-hundred police officers were injured defending Capitol. The tragedy was that Trump harmed that day, like all other days in his life, the very same people wich supported him the most. His greed for money and power as well as his infinite ego and lack of respect for laws and lack of good faith made him the most incompetent president in the history of these United States of America. He became the first president being impeached twice. Before he lost the 2020 elections, I said, very mildly, he was not very easy to handle with. After the assault on the Capitol, I said Trump was a tyrant.

  • The returns of the Navalnys

The anticorruption foundation of Alexey Navalny triggered the greatest protests in Russia since decades. In more than one-hundre cities, tens of thousands portested against the presidential corruption scandals. President Vladimir Putin build a palace with illigal money, which unleashed the wrath of many young Russians. Navalny exhibited this palace-affair a few mounth after he nearly died by poison. Since Putin became again head of state in 2012 it became an extraordinary achivement to survive this poisener-president, when you are in the opposition or a critic journalist or both.

  • The (Eur-)Asian century ?
Résultat de recherche d'images pour "soviet empire"
The Soviet Union in the 1970s, where it was at the zenith of its power, during the presidency of Loenid Brezhnev.
After this soviet president of the supreme council decided to invade Afghanistan, the soviet empire began to decline.

During Cold War, China was a junior partner in the eastern bloc, and also only a few years. Now the sino-russian alliance is reinstalled, with their respective alliances and are incresingly in competition or in cold relations with India, Western Europe and Northern America. This not only give to some the reminiscence of the Cold War, but also the fear, that in the third decade of 21st century could emerge a real new cold war.

The Economic Revolution

The moderate form of capitalism shouln’t be lost elsewise, we will have economic anarchy. This means no rules only the companies arbitrary actions. This could open the high risk of exploitation and corruption. The solution I propose is an economic revolution. For an economic revolution we also need to achieve demographical changes.

Migrations will play a mojor role in these demographical changes. The migrations of latin people’s could produce more connections between North and South Amercia. The aging continent Europe could act as a melting-pot of afroeurasian people’s. These interconnections could link poorer contries to the wealth of richer countries in oder to share a part of their money. Also these diasporas could be a source of Lobby against the corrupt and totalitarianistic regimes allied with China and its satellites states. There are a list of undemocratic ideologies in Eurasia which will play an important role in a potential Second Cold War: Maoism, Ju’che, radical islamism, neoeurasianism, conservative illiberalism and white supremacism.

The contrary to the targeted goal is the establishment of mass-poverty in a globalised world, where a hand full of governments and rich plutocrats are ruling and managig the public and private life of the citizien of this world. To avoid this, an international lobby of basic rights defenders should have more support by many civil societies around the globe. After the youngest generations should fight climate change, they should rethink material distribution of housing materials, food and water, medicins and school stuffs. Whithout resolving the most basic material distribution problems, poverty, mass starvation and infection etc. cannot be avoided. As long as there are enough ressources in this world, they should be used wisely. In addition, I appeal to the nations and leaders of the G-20-group to lauch strategies for reforming the global economy. It should be more roboust to survive all kinds of crisis.

Julien Sita, 10th February 2021.

Models of economy and Macronism

The old european economies include (1) gaullistic dirigism, (2) scandinavian-style mixed economy, (3) rhenan capitalism and (4) anglosaxon capitalism. Nowadays there are new models of economy are for exemple: (I) Macronism (i.e. liberalised market capitalism with social state taditions and progressive-liberal ideals), (II) national-bolchevism (i.e. left-wing economy with right-winf values), (III) Timo Schmitz’s „New Constructivist Communism“ and (IV) Paul Jorion’s „Authentic Socialism“. There are also other tipes of social, ecological, inclusive, patriotic etc. types of economic models. My model is the (V) tripartite pactist economy within a stoico-thomist technodemocracy.

Whereas gaullistic economy is more and more replaced or incorporated into macronic economy, it seems that Emmanuel Macron’s economic policies will lay down the fondations of a new neoliberalism which is in line with french economic culture and therefore includes necessarily wellfare state and gaullistic-dirigistic elements. The wellfare state tradition in France has an long reaching impact on its economy, but this kind of tradition is unadapted to globalisation and the series of crisis after the End of the Cold War until today. Therefore Franch people should not only reform their economic or political system, but also their mentality.

Poverty and Will to Power

Are the poor self-responsible for their misery ? Historically, it is not so simple. In Antiquity, the thetes in Athens, the slaves in Sparta and the very endebted plebeians in Rom were driven in mass poverty. The serfs in the Middle-Ages had no rights of possesion and money wasn’t very common among the common people, exept for the late middle-age. In modern times Margaret Thatcher belived that cause of poverty is a lack of character. This seems to me like someone believe that every situation is wated from god(s) and so also the class system with poor classes, like in the indian caste system. These abstract metaphysical ideologies, as well old like the indian caste system or the ultraneoliberal tendencies since the 1980s, seems to be founded unprecise premisses which are often deprived of the the larger picture, the grether good, exeptions of the ideological rules, non-selfcritic, unsystematic and unscientific. Behind many dubious systems and ideologies there are pretextes to legitimate wealth and power. Often the qantity of money also determines the amount of influence on the masses or the government.

My issue is to prevent degenerative policies in the future which could lead to make war on the poor and not on poverty, so that the future is full of working poors, i.e. individuals with jobs but a work and life without dignity. To be sure that some policies of the state and the riches are not a weak excuse to work harder for the well-being of the people or to pay taxes or to take any responsability to someone other than one self, I will check precisely and severely these ideologies which needs to be examinated more seriously. I should base my conclusions to real observations and I don’t want to make some hypothetic speculations like the capitalist Fridrich von Hayek or the communist Karl Marx did it. Even more the observations and thesis which I did about the economy will be noted below.

DEMOKRITOS, OR A MOKUMENTARY ON A NEW WELFARE STATE

The greek scholarch Demokritos wrote some books on the ideal state in order to advise the rulers of his city to make laws for the well-being of its citizen. In this article the last known fragments will be depicted and commentated by Dr. John Siân’s. Siân’s discourse „On a New Wellfare State“ in wich Demokritos‘ philosophy plays a central role will conclude this documentation as an appendix.

PERI PHYSEIS POLEIS: The known fragments written by Demokritos

  • Physis (or natura like the romans translated) is a dynamic process. Reality is not static, because only a priori truth and the first substance are eternal.
  • The kosmos physikoi (or mundus naturale) has some rulesw hich are eternal
  • Nomos kratoi (or leges fortissimi* like the romans translated (*i.e the law of the fittest)) says that the one with more elaborated attribute wins over the one with less elaborated attributes, but the elite is as powerfull as the people. Logically, the result of the antagonism between the two can either be eternal class struggle or a compromise. In this case the law of the fittest cames to its limits.
  • The golden law (lex aurea) of reciprocity is the first and supreme tenet of all society.
  • The law of defence of the weak and absence of violence for free is a corollary of the golden law.
  • The law of aretê (aretê means excellence in greek). The exellence lies in the character, according to the master-philosopher Aristotle.
  • The endigment of greed by the masses and establihment of order by the elite is the right distribution of tasks.
  • The Polis (city state) is united as a systema and is divided by social classes.
  • The Government should take the natural issues and worries of its citizen seriously.

APPENDIX: On a New Wellfare State by John Siân

I dare to think that neither communism, nor socialism, nor social-capitalism, nor neocapitalism is the end of economic developpement. The economic transmutations which occured at soonest since the second half of the middle-ages or at least at the end of this medieval period, are constanty on the change. § It is 2021 and the wellfare state is often in struggle with the economic tendenacies. The agrandised autonomy of the market and the corporations seems to chellenge the wellfare state structures as it is known since 1980. The first period (1945-1980) was the golden age of the idea oft he wellfare state. The second age (1980-today) is a period of deconstruction. The wellfare state will not always fully be questionned, but most of its elements are. What would be the third age for the wellfare state? § The Quinquennat Faction. The 10 Top Percent Faction. The 10 Bottom Percent Faction. The Top working Faction. The Bottom working Faction. § Maybe my system will only be alive for 50 years, because no system is eternal. But it is better to have 50 years a good system, than 500 years a feudal system.

The system of Tripartism and Pactism should regulate the society not the riches who are represents the corporations, not the masses which are represented by the syndicates or the state which represent all citizens, but all these three powerholders together. This Triarchy should negociate pacts which should be renegociated all five or ten years. The only condition si that the five vital conditions -nutrition, education, housing, health and environnement protection- should not be negociable.

In anglosaxon or austrian (Neo-)Capitalism the State only intervenes in coporations‘ affairs when there is a crisis. In rhenan Capitalism the state is a wellfare state. In an socialistic State the state has too much to do and the burocracy is exploding. What I propose is to let the corporations do their businesses to a certain degree and the state intervenes especially when the basic needs, proclaimed by the people in a national pact, are not satisfied. In this pactist society the state have to intervene, when for example one thousand homeless people are living in the streets of the capital city.

John Siân, London, 8th of March 2021.

TRIPARTISM AND PACTISM: The two principles of a new wellfare state ?

John Siân was a very ingenious theorists. On his 700th birthday in 2021 I decided, that his theories were worth to try. Maybe they would only last for a few decades, but neither neocapitalism nor democratic socialism would mark the end of History as no economic system is capable to exist for ever. Slavoy Zizek didn’t believe that the classical old model of the wellfare state of the 20th century would be for ever. He might have reason, but as an ardent defender of the wellfare state I believe that a new wellfare state might be possible. Therefore the loss of the old kind of socialdemocracy, if it occure, might not be so dramatic. I thought about the wellfare state as one of the greatest achievements of western democracies. Without this kind of wellfare system and its associated Marshall-Plan, Western Europe would have been dominated by communists after the Second World War. At the end, the wellfare system, keynesianism and socialdemocracy saved western Europe and maybe the western world and its kinds of capitalism. My issues with the future of the wellfare state is that corporations would be so powerfull, that they doens’t want to pay taxes and eventually the budged for social state projects would be non-existent. The decline of the wellfare-state was even observed during the long lasting financial and economical crisis in the years 2007 until 2020. In the latter year I refounded my belief in the wellfare-state by the experiences during the COVID-19 crisis. There even the neoliberal french president Emmanuel Macron realised the importance of statist wellfare structures. Maybe in the next decades the wellfare state could evolve in a new kind of economic system, that could benefit a wast majority of individuals.

Slavoj Zizek thought 2015 that the old welfare state after WWII will cannot be reinstalled in the times we live today. Therefore I though about to reinvent the welfare state. The new one should, at first, be based on five vital necessaties: nutrition, health care, education, housing and proper environnement. On these five basic things we should build a new welfare state. So, after classical Liberalism, Marxism, Keynesianism, and Neoliberlaism, should we try Pactism, Tripartism, Empirism and the Five-Necessities-Theory ? Yes, the old social state management should not necessarly be restaurated, but deliberation between masses and megacorps and mediation through the state to form a pact, which should be recognized by the masses and the megacorps, as well as sealed by the state to watch over for five or ten years could be made reality. In addition, I suggest to use empirism as an economic parascience, where the law of cause and effect is and the law of relative contingence dominate the beliefs on economic.

Bier und Briefverkehr

Ein Novellenzyklus

Brief I

Lieber Samuel,

The Senate of the Galactic Republic

THIS IS A FAN-FICTION BUT CONTAINS SPOILERS !

Julien Sita, 4th February 2021.

The Senate of the Galactic Republic

Prolegomena

In the Star Wars Galaxy, a senator wrote about the faillure of the galactic senate; the representative assembly he was part most of his life. His first hand experiences in the senate pushed him to meditate on the downfall of the republic, the tyranny of the sith and the rise of the first order. In his memoirs he wrote in details his life as well as the history of his home planet and thus of his galaxy.

Special Thanks to my Friends from Rutania: Valečo Źaźouč, Thomaźō Timotious and my beloved Naya Rhi-Mwân.

Quellbild anzeigen
Als ich Senator war, war ich immer der erste und der letzte zugleich am Anfang und Ende einer Sitzung.

Part I: The History of Hundred Years of Corruption and Incompetence

The Senators brought down the Republic twice and couldn’t avoid three galactic wars. The corruption and inefficacity oft most Senators led to a civil war, whereas the honest senators, being manipulated by the corrupt, made fatal mistakes. The democratic Republic had so the ideal circumstances to be refomed in an autocracy. The Chancellor Palpatine knew how to take the advantage of this preconditions. The divided Senate coulnd’t reach important compromises and was to great to be coherent. Chancellor Palpatine, who made himself emperor, promising the to make political descisions more effective and faster. By abusing his political powers and governing like a dictator he made himself many ennemies. When some senators joined the rebellion, the emperor simply dissolved the senate and reigned through terror instead with the rubberstamp senate. After the death of Palpatine and the republican restauration, the senate of the second galactic republic quarreled three decades blocking himself to make descisions. By believing naivly that the leadership of the First Order would respect the peace treaty, the senators where attacked and eliminated by the first offensive. The central government of the second galactic republic collapsed during the first moment of the third galactic war. The first attack was basically the first step of a coup d’Etat by which the First Order became Master of the Galaxy.

From this years I learned that consistency and attitude to compromise are important factors for a stable and good functionning senate. A Tribunal or commission to force senatorial majority to make an compromise. An democratic representative assembly should not be too much fractured and not too much polarised. In times of emergency a powerfull commission should supervise the executive or have the executive’s powers.

Part II: The History of The Rutanians

Rutan was relativly late integrated inside the galactic republic. The superich were in an century-long social struggle with the impoverished masses. Rebellions of famine multiplied. After the fourth planetary civil war, the rutanians agreed to form a balanced system to protect the interests of the masses as well as the privileges of the few. After the rutanian system was adopted into the republic, the rutanian senators were often troubblemakers during important senate sessions.

Long before the senate and within the central authority of the new republic was overthrown by a new authocratic order, the leaders of the Planet Rutan were pretty concerned about the underestimation of the menace of the First Order. The council of the Ten* took many mesures independently from the disputed galactic senate and formed the greatest planetary army within the republic. The iron will and discipline of the Rutanians is well known in many systems of the galaxy. The systems allied with Rutan formed an independant State after the collapse of the New Republic. The Resistance was abandonned by the Rutanians briefly before the death of Luke Skywalker. Rutan, didn’t wanted to use its military after the resistance suffered many casulaties. Only a few rutanian admirals urged their hierarchical superiors to revise their position. The Central Military Command of Rutan decided to repeal all rutanian and allied ships to their home systems. Many commanders lost hope, courage and feared that their system defence lacked military power in case of an offensive. Rimilio Ocko, the son of the famous rutanian Senator Uberto Ocko**, was furious of his government’s descision to retreat and abandon all promised help to the Resistance.

Ocko proposed then a motion to form a expiditory troup to patroll the sensible boders of the rutanian commonwealth. His motion was rejected, which made him angry and triggered a tough fight in the parliament building. Three days later, Ocko was put under house arrest, but his motion was eventually adaopted when the First Order attacked a few planets which were allied with Rutania. The Council of the Ten decided one more time not to intervene, until all the armies were ready. Even more politicians, soldiers and civilians pressured the government to act quickly. Ocko said furiously that if the covards in the Council of the Ten had acted directly, the resistence would not have been so strongly decimated and the march of the Order troop could have been slowed down. Ocko knew that the millions rutanian soldiers plus millions of paramilitaries were eager to defend their system and home planet, but even as Rutania knew that the peace promises from the First Order were are farce and so the Ten created decades ago the greatest planetary army in the republic, they failled to react to the first attack of the First Order.

The rutanian reinforcements didn’t came to save the resistance, but retreated before fighting a decisive battle. After the retreat of the few last survivors of the resistance, when Ocko as free from arrest, Rutania called for the general mobilisation against all intrusions into their juridiction. Ocko was elected admiral took the command of a few bataillions. The Council of the Ten was replaced by the trnasitory High Security Council (HSC), who took command over the executive during war times. Actually the installation of the HSC came for many far too late. The first decree from the HSC was the reconquest of the allied planet.

Ocko led the attack, but was wounded. Republikaner-Unionisten. Separatisten. Nationalisten-Neutrale. Konservative, Republikaner und Unionisten. Internationale Separatisten. Nationale Separatisten. Nationale Imperialisten. Galaktische Imperialisten. Rebellen. Republikaner. Resistance.

*The Council of the Ten is the Name of the rutenian planetary government. It is called so, beacause it has at least 10 senior councilliors. The others are the First Chair, which and the junior councilliors.

**Senator Uberto Ocko was known as an fervent opposer to humanoid war-machines, fearing, that they could kill anyone if their possessor give them the order. The Jedi-Master Osnik who called him an ridiculous philosopher with unrealistic views was killed by drones after Palpatines gave the Order 66.

Note: The High Authoritative Commission (HAC – Mediator between the two councils, can force a compromise law after 9 weeks of blockage, can propose planetary pacts and constitutional charter for the planet). The Great Council (Pressure Groups for particular interests, can veto laws). The Council of Delegates (Public interest, can propose laws). The Kitarchons (judges, who are also city mayors and city-council-members, one must serve as Kitarchon to be a council member).

Part III: An Enquiery on the Philosophy of the Force

The scholars of rutania found an old manuscript during the reign of Palpatine and kept it totally secret. Even before the fall of the Empire, they analysed the scripture which gave precise insights into the Jedi religion. (…) The Metaphysic of the Force is monist worldview, where every thing is connected by an active principle, which enables causes and effects of every changes and constancy.

  • According to the Jedi: Tranquillity of the soul is peace, peace is plesure. Protection of the balance of the force is the goal. For the Jedi-Knights there is a special ethic and honor code for them.
  • According to the Sith: Power, destruction and excess means plesure. The disturbance, and so disbalance, of the force is the goal. For the Sith-Warriors there is a special elitist code. Desires who can bring yourself and others in dangers are seen as the principles of the way of life of the Siths.

The jedii way of life is much closer to the rutanian norms than those of the siths. The Jedi have an sense of loborious iron discipline and a sense of friendly cooperation inside a commonwealth for the common good. This explains the commitement of the jedi to the values of the republic: freedom, justice and peace. (…) The objective norm of the jedi are a good source of autodisciplinarian spirituality. The practice of the Jedi-religion gave some interested scholars tranquility of mind during the harsch years of political repression. Rutania was traumatised by the destruction of Alderaan and the forced recruits into the imperial army during the civil war. I begun to study the metaphysics and ethics of the jedi only after Palpatine’s death.

The universallity of the things connected by the same being gave the Jedi a sense of identity with the cosmos. Thid kind of universal identification was also the base for their help for others and sense of sacrifice for the good of the many. Rutanian soldiers are well known to be one of the best soldiers in the galaxy, but their sense of sacrifice has a more patriotic or nationalistic sense than the cosmopolite Jedi. Although the Rutanian soldiers were always loyal toward their allies in the battlefied and never abondanned them in the most hash situations. Although rutanian leaders were often backstabbers, which led many friends dying without sending reinforcements. The three civil wars were therefore times of dishonor for my home planet, now known for its national egoism and covardism of their rulers. This planet, with so many brave legionairies, had many covard governors.

With this words, I will at my 150th Birthday took the initiative to save the galaxy once more from the tyrants from the dark side of the Force. May the Force tend to its bright side.

Signed: Umberto Ocko

On transhumanism

Transhumanists believe that humans will one day vanquish death and illness. How ideals and overrated hopes are a source of dispair! Their is no absolute good! The „destiny“ of humanity: will there be gods without death and illnesses. As a sceptic I can only talk for my millenia or century and I know humans want to fight at all costs death and illnesses, but making a species of immortal beings is impossible, because at least when the last star in the universe dies, there will be no more humans. Before the last star dies humans will evolve to an other specimen. Humans are limited beings while perfection require infinite attributes like allpowerfullnes, allknowingness and omnibenevolence. Perfection is not part of the human world and we humans are not made for a perfect world, unless being human means to vegetate all day. In my home country Luxembourg the wealth of the average population is so high, that some girls breakup with their boyfriends because of their potato-counch-like passivity. The better it is for a people, the less active it is. (The future of Luxembourg, should not to be ruined by neocpitalism as the far-left is saying it, they could at least bring hope to reactivate afeeling of villiage-like solidarity for this small country.) We need indeed a better quality of life. A good life does not necessarily means the longest life possible. Even though, we should rather think about the true nature of human kind and its distinction to other animals and artificial intelligence. Above all before we think about transhumaist possibilites, we should think about a humanistic ethics in the perspective of the myriad of cultures. People’s philosophy should be the task of new philosophers. A philosopy for the void brain of modern populations is needed. The problems of ethics will be intensified and the great mass is not ready, in my opinion, to handle with such innovations like living for 200 years. We live in a world where even for artificial intelligence we are as a society not ready, like former foreign secretary of the USA Henry Kissinger said it a few years ago.
